WEDUC is a registered trademark from Lusoeduc – Informação e Serviços S.A. (henceforth “Weduc”), based on Taguspark, Núcleo Central, 302 – Oeiras, Portugal. All references made in this document to WEDUC are, for legal purposes, bound to Lusoeduc S.A. On our website (www.weduc.com) you'll find our detailed contacts.
WEDUC is an online communication platform for education.
The key purpose from Weduc is to allow parents to access information shared with them by teachers and adherent schools. Independently from the number of children or of the activities involved, parents will be able to access all information on a single interface.
A second set of goals is to allow teachers sharing their experiences and good practices among them, even from different schools, and benefit from a collective intelligence.
A third set of goals is to allow teachers to interact with their students in a digital extension of their classrooms, with appropriate security and privacy rules enforced.
a) Sign up and usage of WEDUC implies the acceptance of the terms of use detailed in this document, except in the cases were a different written agreement exists.
b) The acceptance of the terms of use will be made by validating it in WEDUC interface, after your registry.
c) WEDUC keeps developing new features and thereby user accepts that some of these features may be suspended, cancelled, modified or upgraded, without previous consent. Any new service that will be added to the existing ones will be subject to the same current set of rules. WEDUC has the right to modify, add or exclude part of this term of use ant any moment and without previous consent; although, such changes will always be published at www.weduc.com and will be subject to new acceptance procedures on the next logon of each user.
d) It is of critical importance that users fully acknowledge and understand all changes in the terms of use that are subject to their approval - it will not be considered valid any claim invoking its ignorance.
e) Although WEDUC currently establishes no limit to number and kind of interactions in the platform, as well as storage limits per user, such these limits may be defined or modified without previous consent.
a) User agrees to use the platform only for the purposes that are permitted by (a) the terms and (b) any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions;
b) User accept not to access (or attempt to access) any of the features fo the platform by any means other than through the interface that is provided by WEDUC, unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a written separate agreement;
c) User agrees not to engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts our service (or the servers and networks which are connected to WEDUC);
d) Except if specifically allowed to do so, user accepts not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or sell any of the services made available by WEDUC;
e) User agrees not to use any of our communication tools, such as messages, posts, groups, digital library or others to advertize, share commercial information, or by any means to send information that may be considered spam or junk-mail, to conduct or forward pyramid schemes;
f) User will not retrieve or try to retrieve personal data form WEDUC's users by automated processes of information gathering;
g) User will not upload any viruses or malicious code;
h) User will not access or attempt to access to other user's accounts that are not of their own;
i) It is strictly prohibited to crate false or misleading user or entity profiles, as well as to register entities not entitled for;
j) It is forbidden to send, upload, distribute or disseminate or offer to do the same with respect to any unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, obscene or otherwise objectionable content;
k) User is not allowed to share another's intellectual property content or other proprietary information without such owner's or licensor's permission to do so;
l) It is not allowed to promote or encourage, thought WEDUC platform, any kind of inappropriate or aggressive behavior on other users or others, or by any mean publicize or share materials promoting or describing illicit activities.
m) It is forbidden to make available contents that promote any commercial activity prior to WEDUC's consent. This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: sponsorship requests, fund raising campaigns, offer or sale of any products or services, advertising contests or promotions.
According to law and current regulations, by using WEDUC platform, users agree to:
a) Provide their real names and accurate, trustworthy and updated information about all personal data relevant to the usage of the platform;
b) Maintain and update registry data on WEDUC, so that they can keep accurate, trustworthy and up-to-date;
c) User accepts that is responsible to keep his password safe and not to share it, let anyone else access his account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of his account. Any misuse of the users account its of his sole responsibility;
d) You must promptly notify WEDUC of any breach of security, including but not limited to unauthorized use of your password or account.

a) User acknowledges that the sole responsibility for contents that may gain access through WEDUC (namely files, text, audio, pictures, links or others) are from the the user that publish them.
b) WEDUC has the right (but is not obliged to) pre-validate, filter, remove or block content share or published at Weduc, in case it feels it violates, or my violate, intellectual property rights, are offensive, express political, racial or discriminatory opinions, or others that, according to WEDUC's best judgement, do not fit the platform purposes.
c) In case of any shared content that WEDUC understands that diverge from the scope, image or purposes that the platform aims to achieve, it reserves the right to refuse or remove its contents or user simply by invoking this reason.
d) WEDUC does not validate the contents that are being shared by it's users in the platform, so it cannot guarantee its accuracy, quality or veracity.
e) User explicitly confirms that is aware that he is the sole responsible for the information and contents he shares, makes available or transmits on WEDUC, and that he will be liable for any penalty or compensation from any loss caused to WEDUC or others, including payment of legal charges and lawyers fees.
f) WEDUC will report to the proper authorities all situations of misuse of the platform, whatever its nature, if contrary to law.
a) User agrees he is the sole responsible for protecting and enforcing any intellectual property rights rights regarding contents he submit, posts, transmits or displays on, or through, the platform and that WEDUC has no obligation to do so on his behalf.
b) User agrees not to remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary rights notices (including copyright and trade mark notices) which may be affixed to or contained on WEDUC or other users content and also to respect intellectual property rights he chooses to share, create or make available.
c) User agrees not to use any trade mark, trade name or logo that is not his property or is likely to cause confusion about the legitimate the owner or authorized user of such marks, names or logos.
d) WEDUC will not use nay content stored in the private pages of its users without their previous consent. However, for contents marked as "public" by it's author, it's considered he is granting a free, universal and non exclusive license for WEDUC to make it available to other users, in any area of the platform. The user may at any time cancel this license by deleting or changing the permission settings for the content.
a) User acknowledges that WEDUC and all related software has confidential information and is protected by copyright, intellectual property rights and by other applicable laws and regulations.
b) It is forbidden to copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of our software without prior written consent from WEDUC.
c) User may not sell, rent, lease, loan, copy or explore, by any way, services and features made available on WEDUC.
d) User will be made liable and indemnify WEDUC in case of any breach of this terms or applicable law that results in any kind of expense or cause any damage.
e) The expenses referred above include, but are not limited to, lawyers fees, legal costs, indemmitys and penalty fees to third party caused by user contents.
WEDUC may be used by any user in any given country; apart from this rules, users are also subject to Portuguese, European Community and other applicable laws, namely regarding copyright infringement and online regulation.
a) Info provided at registry misleading, false or incomplete.
b) Violation of any of the conditions stated in this terms of use;
c) Incorrect, offensive or discriminatory behaviour to any other user
d) Sharing offensive, illegal, unauthorized content or that by any other way collide with WEDUC's purposes or scope.
e) Infringement of any additional agreement made between user and WEDUC, namely specific terms of access and use of the platform;
To use WEDUC certain personal information must be collected and is voluntarily given by the user in his profile and previously to his registration, as well as info shared with other users. WEDUC will never sell, lend or give access to personal data or any information of any kind to a third party, except with the explicit consent of the user, by court order or any other situations required by the Portuguese law.
User accepts that WEDUC sends him, from time to time, direct messages explaining how some functionality work, trough one or several communication channels supported.
WEDUC is allowed to publicize products and services on it's platform that are relevant to users. relevance is considered all information somehow related to education. So that this information may be as relevant as possible, WEDUC may, use your profile information to filter witch information may be presented.
All this process is completely automated and anonymous; WEDUC do not keep track of any information that might identify which information was presented to whom.
WEDUC will not share no personal information without previous consent and will not use any direct communication channel (such as e-mail or intramail) to publicize products or services.
WEDUC users acknowledge ad accept that:
a) Use of the platform is at his own risk. WEDUC is presented "as is", without any express or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of no breach on the platform or no infringement of rules by the users;
b) WEDUC does not guarantee that will be able to provide the use of its platform uninterruptedly, timely, secure or free from errors or to function infinitely;
c) A WEDUC does not guarantee that any error in the software will be corrected, except if it puts at risk the security of user's personal data or the ability to provide the service;
d) Any content obtained on WEDUC will be used as per user discretion and at his own risk, being the sole responsible by any damage caused at his system or hardware on any data loss that may result form this operation;
e) WEDUC may not be liable by any damage, casual, accidental, including, but not limited to, loss of profit (whether incurred directly or indirectly), any loss of data suffered or any other loss resulting form the impossibility to use the platform, from unauthorized access to personal data or unauthorized modification in WEDUC service databases.
Lusoeduc, the company that owns WEDUC, observe all laws and regulations regarding protection of personal data, not performing any kind of processing of personal data without the prior consent of their respective owner.
Personal information voluntarily provided by users of the platform WEDUC not be disclosed to any third parties without prior consent.
In this sense, the user expressly authorizes the processing performed by Lusoeduc, with or without automatic means, of the personal data provided, with the purpose of providing information to Parents concerning the school and leisure activities of their children, through an Internet platform (WEDUC), as well as for unnamed profiling, in automatic and anonymous means, in order to provide information to Parents about activities, entities and services related to the educational environment and / or students, provided according geographical, age or other criteria.
User further states that he is aware that it is ensured, by law, and at any time, the right to information, access, correction, addition or deletion of personal data of the platform by using e-mail, fax (+351 210435956) or by letter send to Lusoeduc – Informação e Serviços, S.A., Taguspark, Núcleo Central, 302, 2740-122 Oeiras, Portugal.
4.1 Where WEDUC has provided you with a translation of the Portuguese language version of the Terms, then you agree that the translation is provided for your convenience only and that the Portuguese language versions of the Terms will govern your relationship with WEDUC.
4.2 If there is any contradiction between what the Portuguese language version of the Terms says and what a translation says, then the Portuguese language version shall take precedence.
